A Guide to Joining Us

Welcome to Buntingford School of Dance – we’re delighted to have you join our dance family!  Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or continuing your dance journey, this guide will help you get started with an outline of the process and what you need to know.  For some bedtime reading, full T’s & C’s and policies can be found here: Policies – Buntingford School of Dance

Our priority is to make sure you feel confident and supported every step of the way and make your dance experience inspiring and unforgettable.

If you have not already supplied your information via our Registration Form, you can do so here: Join us – Buntingford School of Dance.  If you have already completed the form and we know which classes you are interested in we can offer you a trial… it’s great to have you with us!

Offer of trial class/es

You will receive a personalised timetable which shows the class day / date, time, venue of the trial class/es.

The trial is for a period of 2 weeks in order for pupils to be confident that they are enjoying the class/es and wish to continue before committing further.  The charge for the trial period is £15 and several genres can be trialled for this one-off payment.  Places in trial classes will be confirmed upon receipt of the payment which is required at least two days before the class.  A receipt will be issued.

Payment may be made either:

via the payment link contained in the email – please make sure you add first name and surname of the pupil in ‘note to Merchant’.

Or

via bank transfer to Buntingford School of Dance Ltd, Sort Code: 09-01-29 Acct No: 23205679. Please make sure you add the first name and surname of the pupil as the reference.

The trial fee is non-refundable, but alternative dates can be arranged if necessary, subject to space in the class/es.

If the class reaches capacity before we receive your payment you will be notified and added to our waiting list, or we may be able to offer you an alternative class.

Parents/guardians of all pupils age 5 and under must remain on site.  You are very welcome to accompany your child into the class on the first trial week to settle them if you would like to and to get a feel for the class.  However, experience has taught us that children often settle more quickly if their parents/guardians are not watching.

What to wear for the trial

All classes – T shirt and leggings/shorts or current dance wear if you have it.

Ballet & Modern/Jazz – Bare feet or ballet shoes if you have them.

Commercial – Trainers

Tap – School shoes or similar hard soled shoe which can be securely fastened, or tap shoes if you have them.

After the Trial

Please advise us within 5 days of the 2nd trial class if you wish to continue with classes.  We will then make the place permanent and issue an invoice for the remainder of the current term together with the one-off Registration fee of £20. If we do not hear from you, we may release the place.

Once you have confirmed you wish to continue with classes, fees are invoiced termly in advance and notice to stop must be given in line with our T’s & C’s.

Terms can range in length from 10-13 weeks. You can find our term dates here

Re-registration is automatic each term.

Invoices will be issued by email prior to the start of each term.
