Street/Commercial

Street/Commercial encompasses a broad and dynamic category of dance styles that originated outside the traditional studios, often in urban environments. These styles have subsequently evolved into mainstream forms often seen in music videos, concerts and commercial performances and on film and TV.

With strong links to hip-hop culture there is an emphasis on self-expression classes ooze energy and a cool vibe!  This is where you will learn popping, locking and krumping along with a multitude of other Street and Commerical dance techniques.

These genres are increasingly popular in the dance world, and are taught at many of the major vocational dance colleges.  They equip students with up to date and relevant dance skills and present a wide range of employment options.

We have three classes on the timetable:

Commercial Foundations (approx. 5-8 yrs)

Commercial Inters (approx. 9-12 yrs)

Commercial Seniors (approx. 13 + yrs)
