I’m really excited to say that we are trialling a NEW Commercial Dance Class! on Wednesday evenings. Commercial Dance is very popular at the moment, and is taught at all of the major vocational dance colleges, as it equips students with up to date and relevant dance skills and presents a wide range of employment options.
What is Commercial Dance?… Commercial dance encompasses a myriad of styles. This can include Street, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Contemporary. It is the type of dance seen in music videos, on the catwalk and at fashion shows, artist tours, advertising campaigns, corporate events, TV and film etc.
The class will be open to all those in School Year 10 and over. It is the perfect way to lead on from our Street Classes, but for an older age group. It will be taught by Miss Elloise, who Choreographed our wonderful ‘Tribe’ dance for the show.
The first class will be on Wednesday 17th January at the URC Hall at 7.15 – 8.15pm. It is a trial class so it is FREE OF CHARGE. The only thing we ask is that you spread the word and bring along friends who may be keen to have a go, as we will only be able to run the class going forwards if we have enough participants.
It promises to be fun, and energetic, and needs loads of ‘attitude’ (!) and I think it will be a very good way of relieving any exam stresses that may be building up!?…
Please let us know ASAP if you would like to be included in the trial class next week – click here to email us. Please also ask anyone else who may be interested to email us in order that they can be included on the register. Thank you.
I REALLY HOPE YOU ENJOY THE CLASS!
